CROFTON, MD — Early this morning, Western District officers were dispatched to a fatal motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Crain Highway and Johns Hopkins Road. The incident occurred at approximately 12:31 AM. Preliminary investigations show that a 2017 Freightliner 114SD was heading north on Crain Highway with a green light when a 2020 Honda Insight traveling west on Johns Hopkins Road ran a red light and entered the intersection. The Freightliner struck the Honda on the driver’s side, resulting in severe consequences. The driver of the Freightliner was unharmed. However, the Honda’s front seat passenger sustained serious injuries
