GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – On October 3rd, around 12:43 a.m., Gloucester Township Police officers, during a proactive patrol operation in the Cherrywood Homes area, identified a silver Nissan previously reported stolen from a nearby town. The officers initiated a motor vehicle stop on Blackwood Clementon Road. The driver, identified as Linda Johnson, resisted officers’ instructions, sealing herself inside by rolling up the vehicle’s windows and refusing to exit. For nearly an hour, officers engaged in dialogue with Johnson, attempting to peacefully resolve the situation. After this extended negotiation proved unsuccessful, officers broke the car window.
